Are you far too stressed out for your own good? Perhaps you should consider looking through some indoor fountains to try and find an alternative solution to reduce your stress levels before you literally and figuratively blow a gasket at work or at home. It might seem silly to think that a little gimmick like a plug-in fountain could make a difference, but the science says otherwise and they are so inexpensive that you really have very little to lose if it doesn’t work.

The reason why indoor fountains are recommended for people in your situation is twofold: firstly the simple sound of running water has been shown to have major mental effects on people. It calms down even the most anxious and tense people with its casual repetition and flowing nature, and also helps eliminate other distractions that could prevent you from focusing or studying your work instead. Thus if you start getting distracted or drifting you should move next to some gently flowing water (not a faucet!) and listen to the bubbling white noise for a little while before carrying on. Another major reason why you may want to invest in your fountain is that the humidity in the air actually helps increase your serotonin levels, making you physically happier. It is almost akin to the effect of sunlight, except this is caused by negatively charged ions in the air that are released by humidity.

No matter how anxious or stressed out you may be now, a simple little fountain will probably go a long way toward relaxing you and getting you all sorted it. It won’t magically fix all of your problems, but it might magically help fix some of them anyway.
